Magnificent Art Deco bookends signed by Janle entitled "L'Insouciance". Made of cast iron (or bronze) with a green patina by Max Le Verrier. These bookends depicting nude women are incredibly beautiful and are among the finest sculptures by Janle. Original antique cast iron from the 1930s by Max Le Verrier. The patina is original with no visible scratches.

This model is currently being reproduced by the Max Le Verrier house with marble bases. These are absolutely original from the 1930s. They are presumably made of bronze, or at least metal, and have been cast in a single piece. A casting art that Max Le Verrier kept secret.
