Rare and beautiful art nouveau sculpture. High quality for this sculpture. Signature on the marble base.

Stamp founder / publisher on the bottom of the base \Model represented in brian catley's book, page 119 (see photos). (18801950) is a French sculptor of Belgian birth, representative of the art deco style.

She studied sculpture under the direction of the Belgian sculptor jef rags, then emigrated to Paris around 1910. The subject of her work is mainly the female figure with oriental and exotic dancers.

Colinet exhibited for the first time at the show of French artists in 1913. She became a permanent member of the organization in 1929. From 1937 to 1940, she exhibited at the salon of the independents and joined the union of women painters and sculptors. The sculpture is in very good condition.
