Beautifull Art Neauvau Statue of Women and cherub signed by Rousseau, sculpture dedicated Pour L'Humanité. Depicting women standing on the grains as well cherub huging her legs. Very impressive and in grwat condition for its age, having original patina.

Cast in iron and finished with a multi-toned patinated bronze. Note the details of his clothing and the charming expression on his face, both characteristic of this style.

Born in the Ardennes, Rousseau studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. He is best known for his busts, statues, and public monuments, as well as his occasional sculpted portraits. Born into a family of stonemasons, Rousseau began sculpting at the young age of 11. Sizing 52.5cm in height, base 21cm diameter.
