Superb gilded bronze sculpture by the artist and foundryman Michel ILHAT, signed, dated 1999, and numbered 1/8. “Michel Ilhat followed the family tradition: He fell into the crucible of bronze at his father's art foundry at the age of 16, drawing from it a love for bronze as well as for sculpture. As a master of fire and molten metal, he has been creating his own sculptures for over 20 years, from the modeling phase and the creation of shapes and volumes to the bronze or resin casting, followed by the patina.

His work, full of finesse, roundness, and grace, showcases nature and its fauna. The female body also finds a prominent place, depicted in all its softness and voluptuousness.

He participates in all stages of the art foundry. After the mold is broken, the bronze obtained is chiseled and sanded in a final caress, followed by the patina that will give color to the sculpture.” La Dépêche du Midi.
